I'm Trish, founder of Bondi Body. At-home IPL is a one-off cost of £249 for the V2 or £99 for the Mini, covering every area. At the two laser clinics whose published prices I checked, a six-session course for underarms, bikini line and lower legs added up to £1,147 and £1,726 at the time of checking, 7 October 2026.
Key facts
- Bondi Body V2 IPL: £249 one-off (code GLOW40 gives £40 off). 600,000 flashes, 8 intensity levels, 7.81–15.31 J/cm².
- Bondi Body Mini IPL: £99 one-off. Hair reduction only. 400,000 flashes, 5 intensity levels, 4.9–13.42 J/cm².
- Salon laser, three areas, course of six: £1,147 and £1,726 at the two clinics below, at the time of checking, 7 October 2026.
- Who at-home IPL suits: Works best on light to medium skin tones with darker hair. Not suitable for very dark skin tones (Fitzpatrick V–VI) or for light blonde, grey or red hair.

What do salon treatments cost in the UK?
These are the prices two laser clinics published on their websites at the time of checking, 7 October 2026. One is a central London clinic and the other is a UK clinic group. Prices vary by clinic and location and change often, so treat them as two examples, not an average.
| Area | Pulse Light Clinic, course of 6 | The Private Clinic, single session | The Private Clinic, course of 6 |
| Underarms | £369 | £86 | £427 |
| Bikini line (standard) | £379 | £92 | £489 |
| Lower legs | £399 | £162 | £810 |
| All three | £1,147 | £340 | £1,726 |
Sources, as shown at the time of checking, 7 October 2026:
- Pulse Light Clinic, London: laser hair removal prices. A central London laser clinic. The figures are its six-session prices for a single area, which were shown as reduced prices (underarms was £399, bikini line was £499, lower legs was £519). The page shows these as £62 to £67 a session.
- The Private Clinic: how many laser hair removal treatments do I need?. A UK clinic group; this page refers to its Birmingham, Leeds and Northampton clinics. It lists pay-as-you-go and course-of-six prices, and says the average number of sessions needed is six, with a top-up session or two sometimes needed afterwards (£75 to £146 each for these areas).
The totals row is my own addition of the three areas. Pulse Light Clinic also lists multi-area packages, so ask any clinic for a package quote.
What does at-home IPL cost?
- V2: £249, or £209 with code GLOW40.
- Mini: £99.
That is a one-off price for the device. The V2 has 600,000 flashes and the Mini has 400,000. Delivery is free in the UK on orders over £100, so it is free on the V2.
How do the numbers compare?
| Option | Cost | What it covers |
| Bondi Body Mini | £99 | Every suitable area, at home |
| Bondi Body V2 | £249 (£209 with GLOW40) | Every suitable area, at home, plus skin rejuvenation |
| Pulse Light Clinic, 3 areas, 6 sessions | £1,147 | Underarms, bikini line, lower legs |
| The Private Clinic, 3 areas, 6 sessions | £1,726 | Underarms, standard bikini, lower legs |
On those figures the V2 costs £898 less than the three-area course at Pulse Light Clinic and £1,477 less than at The Private Clinic. The underarm course alone (£369 and £427) costs more than the V2.
Is that a fair comparison?
Not entirely, and you should know why.
- The technology differs. The clinic prices are for professional laser. At-home IPL devices are lower powered than salon lasers, and you do the sessions yourself, so it takes more of your own time.
- Someone else does the work. In a clinic a trained practitioner assesses your skin and treats you. At home, you are the practitioner.
- Suitability differs. At-home IPL is not suitable for very dark skin tones (Fitzpatrick V–VI) or for light blonde, grey or red hair. A clinic may have options a home device does not, so speak to a professional if IPL is not suitable for you.
- Both need upkeep. Clinics mention top-up sessions after a course. With at-home IPL you top up about once a month as needed, at no extra cost.
What do you have to do for the saving?
Shave, then treat up to once a week for 12 weeks on the face, neck and intimate areas, and up to twice a week for 12 weeks on legs, arms, underarms, stomach, chest and back. After 12 weeks, use it once a month to treat any new growth. Noticeable hair reduction typically starts after around 4 treatments. It gives long-lasting hair reduction with consistent use, and results vary from person to person.
Which should you choose?
Choose a clinic if you want a professional to do it, or your skin tone or hair colour is outside the at-home range. Choose at-home IPL if your skin and hair are suitable, you are happy to do it yourself, and you want one cost for every area.
The Bondi Body V2 and the Bondi Body Mini both come with a 50-day money-back guarantee, so the cost of finding out is low. For more on how the two approaches differ, read at-home IPL vs laser hair removal.
